  • Visitor Parking

There is limited visitor parking in the vicinity of the University of Utah Health Sciences Center. The University Hospital Parking Terrace provides free, limited parking to patients and visitors. Southeast of the library, the 1st level of the Parking Terrace east of the Biomedical Polymers Building is functioning as a Pay Lot for visitors. [It replaces the pay lot directly south of the library, which is where construction of the new Health Sciences Education Building has begun.) The 1st level of the terrace is regulated by a ticket and the charge is $1 per hour up to a maximum fee of $8 per day. Additionally, there is a coin operated metered parking lot directly west of the Eccles Library. The meters take quarters or nickels only. Parking meters are enforced from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Permit areas and meters are not regulated on state holidays. Parking passes for the day can be purchased at the Eccles Library Circulation Desk, the University Hospital cashier located near the hospital entrance, 581-2100; or at Parking Services, Building 436, 801-581-6415. Cost for an "A" day pass is $2.75.

  • Campus Parking for University students, staff or faculty with "A", "U", or "E" stickers.

Campus Parking Lots are located south and west of the library for the most part (see map). Parking regulations are enforced year-round, including periods between semesters. Permit parking is enforced from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 10:00 p.m. where posted. Fire lanes, restricted areas, designated reserved spaces and parking spaces for disabled drivers are enforced 24 hours every day of the year.

  • Parking for Drivers with Disabilities

Parking stalls for drivers with handicapped plates are identified by the international wheelchair symbol painted on the asphalt and marked with a blue post. Campus visitors with disabilities can park in disabled visitor parking stalls only, or they can purchase a parking day pass.

  • Visit the University of Utah Parking and Transportation Services website for more information.
